The Turkey!

Grandpa did another great job this year with the turkey...and the brocolli...and the potatoes...and everything else! Here is a shot of the winning bird and the table all set up for our glorious meal. Thanks Gema and Grandpa for such a lovely and tasty meal.

Dressing For Thanksgiving

Here we are in the stages of readying ourselves for Thanksgiving. You can see the boys still playing, then the big boys playing after cleaning up and dressing for the meal, then everyone playing with something or another, be it CandyLand or the jets that Mike bought for the boys...fun, fun, fun.

More Time Outside

Here you see the chefs actually taking a rest from the cooking! We even let Grandpa sit down, but just for a moment! Again, can't beat San Antonio weather in November.

Sporty Fun

Joc, Steve and Ben visited us for Thanksgiving as well, arriving on Thursday morning. We had a great time enjoying the warm weather outside playing basketball, frisbee and soccer. We utilized every piece of outdoor play equipment that we had at our disposal, and even borrowed some from our neighbors'. Please notice Steve's excellent dunk shot on our real size basketball hoop!

Visit to the Botanical Garden

Gema and Grandpa came to visit for Thanksgiving. Prior to the cooking extravaganza that they performed on Thursday, we relaxed for a short a visit to the Botanical Garden where enormous bugs are on display. The boys enjoyed finding the bugs within the garden.

Don't Stand Too Close to the Longhorn

Please take note of the picture of the longhorn and the sign on the fence that warns people to keep their children away from the fence. Then look at the following picture of Sam innocently feeding the longhorn, what you cannot see, unfortunately, is Mike immediately behind him, cheering him on! Go Mike!

Welcome back to San Antonio, Texas-Style

A new friend of ours' just moved back into San Antonio to be closer to her family. Her family was so excited about her relocation that they threw a HUGE (in Texas, really everything IS bigger) party for her at a ranch about 45 minutes outside of town. It was extravagant, bigger and better than many of the weddings I have attended, full of tractor pulls, pony rides, pumpkin patches, Sesame characters walking around, balloon designs, face painting, omelette making, french toast eating and even hot chocolate tasting! We had a GREAT time and here are a few shots to prove it.
