The Piesman Boy Band

Here are the boys busting out with some new tunes from their debut album, "Rainy Day in San Anton". They have a bit of work to do refining their new sounds, but for a first run, it was quite impressive. Look for them coming to your hometown soon.

It's Shabbat

Tyler loves Shabbat. Whenever he sees us taking the candles out or the wine or the challah, he screams, "Shabbat" and starts to dance around the table. Both boys love their yarmulkes and they love challah. Just today I was putting change in my wallet and both Tyler and Sam shout: "tzedakah". So I had to remove it from my wallet and place it in the valet near the door, that we now use as our tzedakah holding bin, in preparation for Friday night. What a nice tradition that we are enjoying here in San Antonio.

Time on the Airplane

I don't remember this with Sam, but Tyler just does not sit still on the airplane. He does not want to be confined in his seat, he does not want to be confined in his row, he rather enjoys seeing the passengers up and down the aisles and especially in the line to the restroom. The other pictures are the boys just being silly at home, Sam with his school-made 'F' eather crown to celebrate F week at school and Tyler bouncing around on my prize chair that I sadly have very little time to use anymore.

Sam and His Relatives

As Sam is sleeping less these days during his naptime, he gets a bit of 'special' time with the adults. This day, he enjoyed playing with Grisha and Polina. He even tried his hand at photography, snapping this picture of me.

Pool Party

With so many beautiful days at the beach, we thought we would take a break and enjoy the weather from our patio that we expertly turned into a pool patio. The boys had a great pool party with two exciting pools to jump and play in. What fun!

Happy Birthday Polina!

Polina celebrated her 71st birthday while we were in Los Angeles (part of the reason we made the annual pilgrimage). Here is a family celebration for Polina's birthday which includes: Boris, Julia, Michelle, Fayina, Mikhail, Grisha and Polina (and me). You can hear two renditions of Happy Birthday, the first in the traditional English and the second, led by me (the only non-Russian in the group), is the traditional Russian.

Michelle on the Piano

Michelle has been taking piano lessons for some time now, and here was an opportunity for an impromptu recital. Michelle did a great job playing for us. You can see Polina nearby, but in the background, always the teacher and the critic. Go Michelle, keep up the good work!
