This is a picture taken over the Western horizon overlooking a security checkpoint. The sunrises and sunsets have been stunning here, peaceful. And especially in light of the events which took place here 2 days ago, contradict the overall situation in Mosul.
The second image is taken from the main road through the FOB Marez. This is the road I take up and down to go to the gym, dining facility, vendors, you name it. It's very dusty especially when vehicles drive past you.
