Fun at Home

Here you can see a medley of fun times had at home...volcano eruptions, twin pajama party, and tilapia special for dinner! They really have been having a glorious summer together.

Happy Birthday Boy PJs

Here the boys are right before bedtime running and jumping and dancing and letting off some steam. It took me a while to get them calmed down for bedtime, but all well worth it! Thanks for the PJs, Colleen!

Two tickets to paradise...

Here is the local scene at my base. The temperature is about 120 F, and some folks retreat to one of two pools here. This one is outdoors with little shade. Being here makes one forget that we are actually in a war zone, and there is always a chance of a mortar attack. But at least this lets us forget that for a few moments and enjoy the blazing sun.

Karate Party

I don't think that the boys really learned to do a 'karate chop', as they were hoping, but they did learn how to say, "yes, sir" quite nicely. They played a few rounds of dodgeball, and really had a blast punching, or in Tyler's case, hugging, the punching bags.

Watch the Ball Go, SLOWLY!

Here you see Sam bowling. Sadly, here in Texas, we only have GIGANTIC bowling balls, everything truly is bigger in Texas, so it was hard for Sam to wrap his little hands around it, but he gave it a valiant effort.

Bowling Date

Sam and I went bowling on Friday. About half way through, he was ready to move onto our next activity (I think the game was a bit too slow for him). But as you can see from our scorecard, Sam was the winner! We topped it off with lunch and ice cream. What a day!

Car Transporters

Thank goodness they finally found something to do with all of our cars and trucks!
